Byline 0.4beta
Multi-protocol XML-RPC weblog client
Latest Version: 0.5beta
Byline is a weblog authoring tool that uses the XML-RPC APIs found in popular weblog systems to allow you to write weblog entries on your desktop in your favorite editor. It tries to support all of the features of every weblog CMS it is compatible with; currently Blogger, Movable Type, and Nucleus are explicitly supported and other systems that are compatible with the Blogger or MetaWeblog APIs may also work. Byline features for weblog authors include structured text, Cheetah templating, Amazon.com web services support, drafts, and trackback URL discovery. Some parts of Byline may also be useful to other Python applications that communicate with weblog servers.
