Swiginac extends Python with symbolic mathematics. It is a SWIG generated Python interface to GiNaC - a C++ library for symbolic manipulation. Version 0.9.1 of swiginac exposes a lot, but not all, of the GiNaC classes to Python. Included in the 0.9.1 release of swiginac is Symbolic, a higher level module on top of swiginac.
