A command line application for displaying weather details, written in Python.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

Installing

Openweathermap-cli is on PyPi so it can be installed with pip.

$ pip install openweathermap-cli

To upgrade use the -U flag.

$ pip install -U openweathermap-cli

Adding your API key

To begin you will need to add your API key. If you do not have an API key you can get one free from Open Weather Map.

$ weather api YOUR00API00KEY00GOES00HERE

Using openweathermap-cli

Usage:
  weather
  weather week
  weather -h | --help
  weather --version

Get today’s weather forecast

$ weather

Get the week’s weather forecast

$ weather week

Example

Get today’s weather details

$ weather
